The Rhenus Group's business areas and activities are as diverse as the requirements for occupational safety and health protection. The organisational structure of occupational health and safety within the Rhenus Group ensures that country- and business-specific requirements are taken into account and implemented. A clear allocation of responsibilities within the organisation anchors the issue of occupational health and safety at management level.
As a logistics service provider, the workforce and the health of our employees are our central assets. Our holistic approach therefore focuses on the technical possibilities and procedural processes, followed by the factors of individual safety behaviour and occupational safety culture. We analyse the working environment and processes on the basis of hazards in order to create safe solutions and implementable conditions and rules in occupational safety. The implementation of the defined requirements and documentation takes place with tailor-made in-house IT systems. Systems for learning and exchange strengthen accident prevention and the improvement of occupational safety organization.
The Health & Safety Service Center and a large number of branches have already been certified according to ISO 45001 as part of a matrix certification process. By continuously improving our standards, we are strengthening a management system independent of certification in which occupational safety and health protection are lived out and can have a lasting effect.
