Global movements of goods by sea link shippers and recipients of raw materials, semi-finished products or industrial and consumer goods on all the continents nowadays. Seaports are therefore some of the most important hubs for logistics services and act as the destinations for intercontinental and continental sea freight traffic.
Rhenus seaports as partners for all industrial sectors
Rhenus has a broad spectrum of business centres, particularly at the ports on the North Sea, and they offer extensive port capacity. We also have offices, our own terminals or long-term partnership arrangements at many other ports. We offer you transhipment or warehouse operations and value-added services at our business centres. Based on our excellent knowledge of different industrial sectors, we develop solutions with you to ensure that items and goods are transhipped appropriately and promptly, without any damage occurring. We can also set up intermediate storage areas for you, organise final deliveries to destinations further inland using the best possible networks and support you by handling customs procedures.
Environmentally friendly infrastructure
Ongoing investments in the infrastructure and superstructure, which continually provide improvements, raise the quality of the services that we provide. This not only involves following the legal requirements with regard to preventing emissions, but also exceeding them in many cases – for example, preventing noise and dust when transhipping bulk commodities like coal or building materials.
We also develop solutions to cope with new challenges for and with our customers – for example, constructing and maintaining offshore wind parks in the North Sea.
