UK Commercial Manager Air and Ocean (UKCMAO):

This senior position will form part of a centralised approach to Air and Ocean sales activities in the UK and will sit alongside the UK Commercial Manager for Road. This management team will work together to establish a clear sales strategy and structure for Rhenus Logistics UK.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Alongside their own business development duties, The UKCMAO will be responsible for building, maintaining and motivating a high performing sales team, defining the areas of focus, setting clear goals and targets and managing their performance.
  • The UKCMAO will work with Branch Managers to support existing Customer retention and development as well as providing support with on-boarding of significant new business.
  • UKCMAO will report into the General Manager A&O and will provide regular reports to demonstrate the progress and development of sales activities in the UK.
  • Clear expectations will be set in regards to this position which will need to be met by the UKCMAO and the assigned sales teams.

Qualifications:

  • Strong commercials skills and business acumen with prior experience of managing a sales team are necessary as is the ability to identify and maximise opportunity in order to achieve targets.
  • We are looking for an experienced, committed, innovative and energetic approach as the successful candidate will play a key role in our UK Management and commercial structure.

Ocean Import Operator (Air & Ocean Team)

Working within a busy Air & Ocean department – to work within a team to receive bookings from agents / customers alike, to complete all ocean import requirements including customs clearance, duty/vat and all other processes involved.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving bookings from customers / agents.
  • Raising files within Rhenus software system.
  • Preparation of clearance instructions.
  • Speaking to shipping lines / carriers.
  • Checking vessel arrival dates.
  • Maintaining customer spreadsheets where required.
  • Ensuring correct documentation is presented / obtained.
  • Raising invoices to customers / agents.
  • Raising duty / vat invoices.
  • File queries.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Ocean Import processes is essential
  • Experience of Customs procedures, including Duty/Vat process is required,
  • Knowledge of the freight forwarding industry
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Package - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc

Growth & Acquisitions Analyst: 

Due to continued growth Rhenus Logistics are looking to recruit a Growth & Acquisitions Analyst who will support projects to provide detailed and in-depth analysis of potential acquisition targets and investments making recommendations to Regional Management.

This person will be a key contributor for achieving the growth initiatives of the Group in the UK. Researching potential market opportunities, managing mergers and acquisitions, identifying risks and developing contingences.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Research and financial analysis of potential business opportunities
  • Produce and present reports to support the case for growth
  • Manage mergers and acquisition processes
  • Identify risks/barriers and plan contingencies
  • Develop strategies to target gaps in markets
  • Maintain competitor database, awareness of market trends
  • Provide financial analysis to Regional Management regarding underperforming business units
  • Quickly form team relationships with Business Units within the UK and Europe
  • Other ad – hoc investment appraisals

Required competencies and experience:

  • Strong financial competencies

Qualifications:
