Rhenus Freight Logistics develops its activity in Maghreb
After opening its first offices in Tangier in Morocco, the Rhenus Group recently introduced direct exchanges between France and Tunisia. Rhenus Freight Logistics division's plans to develop its activities in the Maghreb region, privileged place of transit between Europe and Africa.
In partnership with KOG Worldwide, the Rhenus Group opened its first Tunisian entity under the name of KOG Transport SA, in order to establish its competences in the Maghreb and in the sectors with the following services: industrial projects in power generation, infrastructure and renewable energy, oil and gas projects, road freight FTL / LTL, sea and air freight and services for the Tunisian automotive market, textile and fashion, aerospace, the chemical industry and pharmaceutical. Weekly departures are scheduled between Rhenus Freight Logistics centers located in France and Tunisia.
Rhenus Logistics has also recently opened its first offices in person on the African continent, in the city of Tangier in Morocco, a major industrial center thanks to its excellent connections and infrastructures. To and from Morocco, Rhenus Logistics provides intermodal transportation services (road-sea) with regular departures to the ports of Tangier Med, Casablanca, Agadir and Nador; services door to door throughout Morocco through fixed lines RoRo (Ro-Ro) and consolidation/deconsolidation services, partial or full loads with fully guaranteed transit time. In terms of logistics services, Rhenus offers facilities dedicated to handling and storage of goods, order picking with a computerized inventory control and a full traceability. In the short term, Rhenus plans to focus its efforts on the development and consolidation of local and international land, air and sea services to and from Morocco.
