Rhenus Midi Data acquires Lupprians UK
Rhenus Midi Data, the specialist for high-tech logistics within the Rhenus Group, took over the leading services provider for technical installation and distribution work in Great Britain, Lupprians UK, on 11 July 2013. This acquisition enables Rhenus Midi Data to expand its European services to Great Britain.
“Great Britain is one of the key markets in Europe for our customers and for us. We’re delighted that we’re able to strengthen our business activities in Europe through the takeover of Lupprians UK and will be able to offer our joint customers more consistent services,” says Michael Boos, Managing Director of Rhenus Midi Data, giving the reasons for the acquisition of the company.
Lupprians UK has business operations at four sites – London, Milton Keynes, Manchester and Glasgow – and serves the complete British market from these centres. The high-tech logistics services provider has a modern fleet of vehicles and has been part of the TecDis network founded by Rhenus for technical distribution services since June this year.
Lupprians UK specialises in logistics services in the following sectors: health care, IT/storage media, telecommunications, laboratory equipment, banking/commerce and infrastructure. For example, the company manages projects at railway stations and airports and installs air conditioning and ventilation units, automatic ticket machines and access control systems.
