Rhenus Office Systems opens high-security archives near Amsterdam and expands its network in the Netherlands
Rhenus Office Systems continued to expand its network of business sites in the Netherlands by opening a second base in August. The launch of the high-security archives near Amsterdam is all part of the acquisition of the archives services provider Van der Velde Archiefopslag in April 2014; the latter has its headquarters in The Hague. The takeover has enabled Rhenus to expand its portfolio of services in the Netherlands. It not only offers mobile and stationary file and data storage media destruction and disposal operations, but it can now provide filing services too.
“Van der Velde Archiefopslag mainly operated in the Hague area until the opening of the new business site. In launching our second business centre, we want to expand our business to cover the whole country and make use of the Van der Velde name, which has an excellent reputation in the Netherlands,” says Gerrit Merten, the managing director of Rhenus business operations in the field of document logistics in the Netherlands.
Existing customers, including those in the hospital sector, now have access to a comprehensive range of services related to office work as a result of the successful integration of Van der Velde Archiefopslag within the Rhenus Group. International customers using Rhenus Office Systems now benefit from the enlarged network of business sites in Europe through the launch of operations in the Netherlands and they can also make use of the national specialist expertise of the archiving specialist in their relevant markets.
