Company „Rhenus Svoris“ will bring movies to International Kaunas cinema festival which started on Thursday, on the 9th of October. During two weeks more than 40 movies will be shown at the event. The movies will be carried from 17 countries. „Rhenus svoris“, as transporter of the festival, will provide all logistic services. , „Rhenus Svoris“ will transport movies to Lithuania, and later to other countries or festivals, over 13 Europe countries, USA, Canada, South Korea and even Malaysia.
“Cinema connects different countries and cultures. That because, as international company, we support this unique cultural festival already for two years. We are glad to take part in this worldwide process – in the transportation of non-commercial cinema to Lithuania“, - said the marketing manager of „Rhenus Svoris“ Arvydas Rickevičius.
“Movies „travel“ a lot, distribution companies have to adjust to their performance schedules, so an effective logistics are needed to organizers and the viewers. Film strips are very valuable, copies are forbidden and made in low numbers, so they become more worthy” represents Gintarė Kavaliūnaitė, representative to the press of this festival.
Probably, the most part of people think that improving technologies influenced greatly cinema industry and often movies are demonstrated from DVD’s. However, it is very wrong viewpoint – movies strips, that are shown in cinemas, are enrolled in a big special format, weigh of one strip more than ten kilograms, the quality of strips differs from DVD. Safe and responsible transportations of film strips are very important.
